Reflections on TMA03.

The TMA was in two parts:

Part one: Write a web report.

Part two: Write three web search reports.

For part one, using only material from the T171 website, I wrote a web report about the importance of protocols in the working of the Internet. The report had to include a plan an introduction, main body and conclusion. This built on earlier work from module one.
Part two was to write three web search reports on the subject of protocols.

The material in module two was about how the Internet came about and how it works, both parts of the TMA forced me to bring all of these elements together. Part one focused on protocols and there significance to how the Internet works, this included not only the physical build but also who uses it and the Internets many uses.

For part two the search report, I had to use the Internet in a constructive way to find information that was relevant to the TMA.

Since TMA03 I spend much more time trying to format what I want to say and list my ideas under different headings before committing them to paper (or screen). This in part is due to feedback from my tutor on part of my TMA called “more than a sum of its parts” as I had managed to spread elements that should have been together under “description of the Internet” throughout the report.
I think I could have improved my performance if I had spent more time on the detail of each section as I missed out some important points.
