looking through the list of learning outcomes I find it hard to pick out any above the rest, each one I look at I think "I'd like to be able to do that" as I have had no experience of e-business except as a customer I have chosen as:-

Two outcomes I think are going to be most valuable.
Show an appreciation of some of the key technologies and technological issues involved in e-business.
Find, analyse and evaluate information on the World Wide Web.
E-business is growing fast and is going to affect us all not just as consumers but in every aspect of our daily lives so I would like to know from a technical standpoint how these businesses put together not just a product but the whole package, so I can better evaluate what is and what is not a valued product. Been able to use the World Wide Web to help in this evaluation process is going to be an asset.

Two outcomes I think are going to be least valuable.
Produce a simple concept proposal for an online organization.
Understand a simple business and technical model for current e-business operations.
Although all the learning outcomes would be worth acquiring these two seem to me to be aimed at starting an organization or e-business, and as I have no interest in starting a business these are the ones I think would of least value to me.

Feedback from Tony Swinburn

I agree that it is difficult to choose just points that are valuable and unvaluable and of course it is indivual 'tastes or needs' which dictate which we feel important to us.
The points you raised for the most valuable fit in well with the choices, especially knowledge of how busnesses are put together and searching of the web.

On the non valuable points,( which I feel is the most difficult) you do seem to contradict yourself as "Understand a simple business and technical model for current e-business operations." possibly goes hand in hand with "Show an appreciation of some of the key technologies and technological issues involved in e-business"

Producing a simple concept proposal, althought the initial objective looks tg a business, you may find this useful in all forms of communication.I use this method a lot in fault finding, problem solving and even as a form of CV!

I hope this helps. In general your points and reasons seem fair and reasonable given the difficulty of choice.

First I’d like to say that I hate doing this kind of thing but here goes.

One strength
Is that you have seen that the out comes for the course are linked and cannot be taken in isolation and explained your choice well.
You have given good detail of your reasons for the two that you feel will benefit you and explained this clearly. You have covered all the angles and the car sales example shows that you have thought it through.

One limitation
Is that you seem to have been a little too emotional in your "least selection" especially about the Americans and this I think as contributed to your last paragraph not coming across well. (But that could be that I’m not reading it correctly).
