(Examine the Significance of Operating Systems in the Development of the PC)

Introduction.

Explain what an operating system is and what were the problems associated with computing without an operating system.
Set out what operating systems became available, by which companies and who the main personalities were.
 

Main Body.

Explain the main functions of an operating system and how it :- Show the types of operating systems and their development along with the main personalities. Explain how other developments facilitated the advancement of operating systems. State the significance of the operating system.

Conclusion.

Explain that users interact with the operating system.
Sum up the roll played by the operating system, especially the GUI  in making computing easily available to everyone.
State how the personalities, company's and developments influenced events.
